Welcome to our practice. We think you'll find us a little different in small, but important ways.
First, we'll involve you - depend on you, actually - during the course of your treatment. Dental health is a team enterprise with one collective goal – nurturing your teeth, mouth and gums to simply be the best they can be. Maybe you've overlooked your dental health a little to long, or maybe a past experience has left you with apprehension when it comes to dental care. Dental technology has come a long way from what you might remember. Welcome to comfortable dentistry....Really!
When you come in for your initial appointment, we'll ask you to fill out a patient questionnaire and medical history. These forms are important - they help determine the course of your treatment. We have to know about allergies, sensitivity to anesthetics, long-term medications - your whole health picture. You will have a brief examination to assess your dental care needs. You will also have the opportunity to discuss your treatment, ask questions and share any concerns you may have. After this initial consultation we will be able to set up your next appointment to best fit your needs.
We work hard to control the cost of dental care. It's part of our philosophy that quality care should be available to everyone. Our first rule of thumb; before any work is performed, is to sit down together and go over your estimate of charges - every detail.
Insurance makes life easier. We'll help fill out your claim forms and answer any questions you have. Each policy is different, but in general, insurance covers about 70% of simple care and 50% of major work. Pre-authorization for major work will tell you the amount of your obligation ahead of time (no one likes these kinds of surprises). This way you pay only the estimated percentage of your total bill, the portion not covered by insurance. We request that you pay your estimated portion when services are rendered. When payment from your insurance company is received and applied to your account, any balance due will be billed to you, or any overpayment will be refunded to you.
For our patients without insurance, we ask that you pay for services on the day they are completed (we do accept VISA and Mastercard for those who qualify). If this is impossible for you, we can work out alternative financial arrangements that suit us both. The way we see it, there's always a way to get the help you need.
We look forward to meeting you.
